This film and Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away should be mandatory viewing for children while they are growing to become the next dreamers and makers, the ones who are going to put aside this non-sense of conformity in which we live.
The immense beauty of this film, the way it presents elements in a "matter-of-factness", in a magical-realistic way, the living, the dead, the transmuted, the fantastic, the soon-to-be-dead, the fabled...We, the spectators, becomes a sort of Alice and enter this new Wonderland called life just to realize that we have been living with our eyes widely shut, our imagination in pause and our humanity long forgotten.
