Carla Schroer and Mark Mudge were the guest speakers at the February 10 program of New Topics New College, "From Paleolithic Caves to the Museum of Modern Art: Documenting and Preserving Humanity's Cultural Legacy." Schroer and Mudge are New College alums and co-founders of Cultural Heritage Imaging (CHI). The two spoke about their life on the road and how their sophisticated yet low-cost technology is leading to the democratization of archaeological research and the preservation of cultural heritage. The lecture was co-sponsored by the New College Public Archaeology Laboratory.
This is really fascinating. I have never met Carla, but I did know Mark quite well when I was a student at New College.
