I tried this tutorial, but after converting there was still the same number of tracks...even though I selected "generate multi-track files"
What am I doing wrong?

great tutorial zaaacharias! i tried this and i was able to create audiobooks with chapters easily from some sets of mp3s. but on some groups of mp3s i get an error almost halfway through the conversion... "Could not start conversion process (Sharing violation)". But when i play the unconverted mp3 all is well.. Weird.. Maybe you can help? Nonetheless excellent tutorial!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST:
If you're using a newer version of foobar it can happen that files get converted into M4A insted of MP4.
If this happens simply open my Batch File with Windows Notepad and change the line
FOR %%i IN (*.mp4) DO (
into
FOR %%i IN (*.mp4 *.m4a) DO (

ACHTUNG:
Wenn ihr eine neuere foobar Version als die in meinem Package benutzt kann es sein, dass die Files nicht mehr als MP4 sondern als M4A gespeichert werden.
Sollte dies der Fall sein, müsst ihr das Batch-Script ändern, da dieses nur auf MP4 Files ausgelegt ist!
Einfach die BAT-Datei im Windows Texteditor öffnen und die Zeile
FOR %%i IN (*.mp4) DO (
in
FOR %%i IN (*.mp4 *.m4a) DO (
ändern!

The chapters are all in reversed order!!! I did everything as per the simple instructions, then double (and triple) checked to see if I had tagged the tracks incorrectly. I hadn't. The program had bollocksed it up and I'd wasted an hour.

maybe you sorted them in reverse order within foobar2000? please tell me if it worked!
