Herman Melville wrote the classic tale
"Moby-Dick"
and Ray Bradbury and John Huston wrote the screenplay of
"Moby-Dick" re-told

well, I've never read those, but
I am an obsessed film-fan for the Huston epic. So I decided to create
"Moby-Dick" re-re-told aka "LONG-HAUL"

the tale as it was meant to be told -
in the spirit of a comedy and
an adventure in the supernatural.
about furniture-moving gone bad.

This film was made for an unmentionable budget (don't ask how little).
The cast was paid in beer, and we couldn't afford that.

it is based loosely on the time i spent as a furniture-mover in Philly with Mambo Movers and with Tonka Moving, where I would often comment that
"movers are the modern-day pirates, only we take peoples shit THEN we give it back..." or
"damn, moving this sofa-bed in the lightning storm up the outside fire escape, sure reminds me of Moby Dick..."

but seriously - It was a terrific time on the set. This is the first of 3 parts, so I hope you catch the next two chapters.
