Everyone sais the acting is bad and they are not like gus or call. I really didnt think it was too bad at all. especially gus, he looks alot like a young robert duvall.

@WildGaston yeah, i agree. i think the really bad acting was in comanche moon. it was so fake and amateur.

ok finished watch it. the first part was hard to get through. the 2nd and 3rd parts were good. I think it may have more to do with bad writing and bad acting on the two leads.

the story was great, it was just very hard for me to believe in the actors as Gus and Call. it was like they really could not get a hold of who they were trying to be.

But a good movie in the end. it would have been great if the movie makers could have done all the movies in order.

@gonzosc1 I just wonder if Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones would've been cast as Gus and Call if they did them in order. We CANNOT do without them. They're what most people remember about the Lonesome Dove series.

alright I'm gonna try to watch this again. tryed a while back but couldn't get by the bad acting of the main leads. will comment afterwards!

All these movies are great(and thanks for downloading!) but I really wish they would have stuck with all the actors from Lonesome Dove and Comanche Moon throughout all the movies. There is nobody quite like Duvall, TLJ and Zahn. :)

@gonzosc1 man I think they acted good. They was unexperienced in this first part. In Lonesome Dove they was badass rangers allready.

Actring bad here? I think in this, Call looks like Badass more than in any other.

@markmeetsworld Agreed, Duvall & Jones "are" Gus and Woodrow (though Steve Zahn made a good Gus). Have you seen what they did in Tron: Legacy? Jeff Bridges cyberspace-caracter had to look as young as he was in the ´80. With that kind of facemotioncapture you can make an actor as young or old, as you wish it. Thats how they should have don it - to expencive i gues.

Steve Zahn and Karl Urban did a pretty darn good job in Comanche moon, however, its impossible to live up to TLJ and Duvall. But I think Gonzo was right. This Gus and Call seemed to have trouble with the personalities of the originals.

@markmeetsworld yeah Duvall and Lee are Gus and Call. watched everything I could on Lonesome dove movies and spin offs, theres just no two actors except Duvall and Lee that could have gave these roles any justice, except maybe Karl Urban and Steve Zahn. I think they both gave great attention to detail in the additude of Gus and Call and was believeible as a younger Gus and Call. James Garner was just to soft as Call, Jon Voight was damn close but ended up being to stiff.
