Wait, wait. So there's this high-efficiency design, with massive output, and you're going to feed the plants auxins? Looking up "auxins" (no capital "A") on wikipedia says that auxins in concentration are herbicidal, and makes mention of agent orange.
Why pimp out the plants with extra chemicals that may or may not have connections to Monsanto?
Please address this question. Others have been informed of this and are showing great concern.

Check out Kickstarter, yo. Solutions exist in the real world

So this is about x100 more yield per space and very automated, cool.
Yet, aren't the plants confused somehow by shifting gravity and light?
If this is used for food crops, how much food does one container makes? how much does it cost? how much energy does it need?

We plan to roll out the technology where the interest is, and will be setting up a crowd funding mechanism, and where minimum thresh holds for participation are met, systems will be deployed .

I would love for this to happen here in Sweden, any thoughts of exporting the products?

Thanks for the nod. I have spoken with Dr. Despommier in the past, and he mentions the Omega Garden technology in his book.
Right now we are supporting a small demonstration facility near Vancouver BC where I believe we will be building the first Farmdominium TM on several acres in the 'agricultural land reserve'.
Last time I showed a grocer the produce they wanted it, but wanted the whole chain supplied as they didn't want one store having nicer product then another store.

Dude, you are awesome! These are amazing ideas... I've got so many questions. Have you been in contact with Dickson Despommier about the vertical farm projects? Have you tried contacting (or contracting) any supermarket chains (walmart, costco, etc.) about using these adjacent to their produce sections? Most importantly, are there any free DIY plans of the carousel in the public domain?
Ad Astra!

Bananas, and walnuts are things that have yet to be tried. The idea is to grow only the target item, so instead of growing an apple tree we can think of growing just branches that can yield fruit, or we can think think of growing 1 foot tall apple trees. This would dramatically slash the amount of time needed to produce this kind of crop, over and above the increased growth rates from the garden rotation, and increasing atmospheric pressure.

I believe this will be the new standard to which all other food production will be compared to. Inside the silo all of the plant transpiration will be captured, and reused. We are essentially in a liquid water economy, and if you had to pay what the water was really worth then a head of lettuce grown in a farmers field would cost hundreds of dollars, but the same would cost only pennies grown in a Farmdominium TM.

works good for lettuce and tomatoes. What about bananas and walnuts

Is it possible say... with the proper and efficient use of this technology, that we can bring food production to such a high level as to render market prices and hunger obsolete?
Not synthetic auxins, but that natural kind the plant already has.
The rotation distributes the natural auxins that are usually at the base of the stem in an attempt to right itself when not upright. This has nothing to do with synthetic auxins what so ever.

Plants know which way is up. Turn a plant on it's side, and leave it, a young pliable one will make a 90* turn in as little as 15 minutes. Plant growth direction is primarily against gravity, so even with the light below, it will grow away from gravity.
Check the 6 Week Volksgarden Test video on the side list for an idea of how much one module can grow. There are 36 modules per container. Carousels operate with 300 watts x 36 + 200 watt to rotate everything. X 250% growing under pressure.

is a amazing concept!. but it will cost a lot of money to build that. and again is limited to the high income farming corporations. overall is a very good futuristic farming facility idea and will not surprise me see one of these in a near future!. thanks for share! XD

@vambreace
Stay tuned for the model that lets a much wider participation then just "high income farming corporations"

Here is where the Capitalist Economy Fails to help people like this man with his invention. Unless he gets major funding or investors, not much will probably happen. In a Resource Based Economy, He can build it all for FREE for whoever wants it since all resources will be FOR FREE! This project would be all over the world no matter how poor a country may be! YouTube Resource Based Economy!

@EasternMerchant
There are mechanisms in a Capitalist economy for making this work, and we will be offering a way for citizens to help make this happen soon. Stay tuned.
