This is the great English stage actor Derek Jacobi's best scene from one of his greatest performances ever. It was from a 1980s miniseries called "Inside the Third Reich".

I saw this movie for the first time yesterday...I think it's brilliant, all the cast is fantastic...but Derek Jacobi, even if not physically that alike to AH, gives an outstanding performance.Thanks for sharing it!

Yes, I did. But the reason I put this up here was several people on a message board were debating about Hitler performances, and to my amazement only two people had ever seen this series. So I wanted to basically showcase what I thought was Jacobi's greatest scene from the series. I agree with you though... I cut off the pivotal moment as far as Speer's character arc.

@alphamale208 he didn't "brainwash" millions, he simply told them what they wanted to hear, he gave them an enemy and they have him undying support, that is until the war was lost and it was extremely unpopular to do so, so they then kept their mouths shut about it or said things like "oh, well i never REALLY believed"......This same thing could still happen today, would be stupid to think it couldn't.
