I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that O.J. Simpson probably counts as the worst Heisman winner ever.

Thanks for this inspirational video clip. Gary Beban, the 1967 Heisman Trophy winner, has had a remarkable life: athlete, scholar and successful businessman. Quarterbacked UCLA to Top-5 national rankings in 1965-66 and competed for the national championship in 1967. He was an academic All-American and became an executive for a mega-billion real estate firm. Beban truly deserves the nickname he received in college: "The Great One."

Gary Beban exemplifies what a Heisman Trophy winner is all about: a winner on the field, in the classroom and in life. From 1965-1967 he piloted UCLA into the Top 5 nationally each year and his next-to-last regular season game of his career competed for the national title. The Bruins were 24-5-1 during that period. He was an academic All-American and later became a chairman of a mega-billion dollar firm. A gentlemen, scholar and athlete. Truly deserving of his nickname "The Great One."
