Rosemary is an herb that loves a full, hot sun and requires a little bit of room because of its root system. Plant rosemary any time of year with tips from an experienced gardener in this free video on gardening and growing herbs.

  • Thanks...

  • Mmmm Rosemary is NOT as hardy as they make it out in this vid. Most Rosemary starts you will get are only really hardy to Zone 7. Anywhere else it'll die during the coldest part of the winter unless you take it inside, or you get a variety like Arp or Madeline Hill (sometimes called Hill Hardy or Hardy Hill) but even then, its a gamble and should be put in a protected spot, like next to a southern facing fence or the outside wall of your house.

  • I wanted to make my own rosemary herb shampoo. I love loreal's version but has too many chemicals I dnt feel comfortable putting in my hair.

  • I have been enjoying your videos for a year now, and I have learned a good bit from them. I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge.

It is so unfortunate that some people who never attempt to live productive lives, will strive to tear those who do down. Please do not allow their comments to discourage you from sharing.

My mother had an old saying: "Even a fool is thought to be wise, if he remains silent"!

  • ;;'}}}}}Love to all. Actually either pronunciation is grammatically correct.

  • Good info, but all I saw were words and a faint shadow of a picture behind the words.

  • Thank you!! just started a herb container garden!

  • Thanks for the information! I took some rosemary cuttings bought form a supermarket produce section. They looked like they just arrived at the store and were very fresh and green. So I took them out of the plastic container and rooted them. They are really easy to root and now I have like 6 stocky rosemary plants from a 2.00 purchase from the supermarket spice section.
