For any other movie I'd say visuals don't matter as much as setting and acting, but ParaKiss is the one story where it really DOES matter. They're fashion design students - they're supposed to be 'out there' in terms of style. Would it really have hurt to give Miwako pink hair? The whole thing could've been a bright, artsy spectacle. Now it just looks like your average teen movie.

@seventhsheaven Also, you were "part" of that group; you weren't the special exclusion. It wasn't a "direct" reply to you; more like an exploitation towards the general group who will/have compared it. Everyone compares remakes in the same manner, so it wasn't "for" you in specific, but a mass's mindset. I didn't look at the 2nd page on this vid, so I assumed you weren't the only one on here and blindly labeled a group on it due to seeing them elsewhere. I.E. "I think too many people are..."

@seventhsheaven It's usually when handling a franchise that's deep and heavy that translations go to absolute gunk. "Getting the point" is different from, "the point still had an effect on me," because something could be got and still have no effect. I get Twilight, but it's still TwiShite. My posts are trying to communicate, "it's a personal thing," which a conversation about something being good or bad is all about. Compared to the manga, it's WTF. On its own, I liked it as its own thing.

@seventhsheaven I'd prefer to call it a matter of personal opinion and emotional reaction, which is always going to be varied for everyone. Neither's opinion/reaction weighs more than the other. I got something out of it because--as someone who's similar to the basic theme behind Yukari and George's characterizations--I was going to be connected to the point no matter how similarly or "dissimilarly" it was told. A point is always the same, and still had an effect on me, so I enjoyed. *shrug*

@seventhsheaven It was actually aimed at people who might feel like you [I.E. "too many people"], save for my second comment's first sentence rip-off. XD; My point isn't about, "changes," however. I speak of the blatant disregard you speak of. I expect "some changes" to "absolutely something else" when I anticipate any rehash; saves the energy it takes to be outraged. Refreshing, though...that might be expecting too much from any anime-to-film. XD; It is what it is to me--as its own, anyway.
