NuFinish car polish. Can it shine up that old paint on your car? The Reviewnaut goes to work on the hood of his own car in search of an answer. This is a long term test. http://www.reviewnaut.com

  • how long does it take to haze?

  • @tehdean

Good question... Provided you haven't covered the area in an unnecessarily thick layer, it should take around 20 - 30 seconds. But you have to take in to account temperature of the surface and other variables..

  • Hi

Just a question after you do the polish do you still have to wax the car to protect the paint? just trying to understand the hole process of buffing , polishing and waxing?

Any help would be great thanks

  • @Andocrx

I think they pretty much expect the product to do the protecting (hence the water beading off the paint). A year has passed since I applied the stuff and it did in fact last the full 12 months (you can still sort of see rain water beading up on the left side of the hood). Mind you, different cars have different paint. This Civic is over 10 years old, and the paint looks pretty new all over. Some cars aren't so lucky.

  • Nu finish stinks! I used it and it beads the water but it's not shinny at all!!!!!

And you drive what kind of car?

  • used this product on my rally hezzed hood and took everything off the hood really do like this product.

  • I find nu finish is great for cars that already have good shiney paint, it makes the water bead, adds a bit more gloss and keeps things good.. if your car is flat nu finish will not work.. it usually smudges alot and just crap for old cars.. I Found kitten polishes to be epic for old flat cars.

  • @wtw88 the stuff is junk ENOUGH said

  • @freakyboie19699 It's not wax and in fact all waxes are bad for car finishes. This stuff is much better.

  • @Reviewnaut You applied it incorrectly. You do not pour Nu Finish onto the car, but to a damp cloth, and apply very sparingly. It only takes about 100-120 ml to cover an average sedan. The liquid, when applied that way, dries quite quickly.

  • that wax is junk enough said

  • lame review period ...

  • can i use this item to my brand new car?

  • I've used this stuff for years, always worked for me. It really is a durable polish. The only stuff I saw work better is a product called Blue Ribbon Easy Seal and Glaze. Google it. Their products are incredible. Blows most other brands out of the water.

  • you should stop doing reviews mate..
