Adore this cover. Best version outside of Dylan's own and Hendrix definitive magisterial, apocalyptic, reading. XTC sound like a wonderful collision between a farfisa organ driven 60's psych' punk band, & 80's punk funk. One of the great mysteries of pop/rock music is why this amazing innovative band - who left most of their contemporary punk/newwave/postpunk peers in the dirt - remain so underrated & unrecognised? It's time that they should be reassessed as the fantastic band they are.

This is utterly fantastic. XTC led by Andy Partridge are one of the most intelligent and articulate bands to come out of the punk scene, and they never sold out. The criticism is ridiculous mainly themed on the fact that they dont sound like Dylan, Neil Young, or (deep breath) Dave Mathews.
If you dont get it then fine go and listen to The Dave Mathews Band - Easy radio listening for middle America - FFS!. XTC got me into Dylan at a time when British youth were not listening to him.
