I got minecraft yesturday morning, I thought that I had balls to just walk in caves and find diamonds and junk, now that the skeletons have shown me their strength along with a couple of survived nights, I need someone to hold my hand and tell me it's going to be ok lol

You can stand on torches so either you jumped on the torch while trying to get down there or that was some really hot obsidian.
