Where are the glaciers? I thought NASA said they wouldn't be all gone until 30 years from now?THat they are mostly melted already but will be all gone within 30 yrs, but I can't see them here already back then Or is this another park, maybe?

Notice the style of clothing the people are wearing in this "film", the style falls somewhere in the early to mid 1940's. This is definately not 1956. Still very rare and fun to watch. Thanks for posting it for all to enjoy.
At the end of the film, the year is shown briefly in Roman numerals. I think it read 1946 but not sure. Maybe it was filmed in the 40's and not released until 1956?

I have a "Castle Films" 8mm reel of Glacier National Park that I think is actually pre-war, but it has no date or year on the reel or the box. It has some of the same scenes. Are you sure that the scenes in this video are from the 50's? Or could it be that my reel is not as old as I think. Thanks.

That originally belonged to the Blackfeet Indians. This is their homeland and natural territory. Many sites are sacred to them. So anyone wanting to come here, thank a Blackfeet.
