And both he and the band has benefited from that fact. And let's not forget Jeff Bunn, who did his best to hold shit down during the late seventies, as well as 1993-94.

Yeah, I'll agree with that. From Billy to Boogie to Bootsy to Skeet, himself and anybody I left out, yeah, that's alotta work. And he has put his work in. Don't misunderstand, I have respect for the brotha, without doubt. I'm just saying Lige was in the right place at the right time.

I do believe that Lige employs a number of jazz oriented techniques that occasionally puts him in Skeet's territory, but I also believe that he has successfully developed his own style. Let's also keep in mind that he has to replicate damn near the entire bass history of P-Funk which is an extremely daunting task.

Yeah I agree with that. The only thing is is that he's picked up a voice simular to Skeet's and not one of his own. Though he does phase his stuff a bit different. But yeah, I agree, he probably is the most improved.

Lige is easily the most improved player in that band. No doubt about that.

I always thought they could've found someone better than Lige, but he's been around so long he's a fixture and I expect to see him. He does have skill though.
