I love this... because people are becoming more educated and rejecting the ridiculous notions put forth by the major religions and starting to publicly ask questions and stand up for their beliefs they are being labeled as some kind of 'extremists'. What are Hitchens & Dawkings doing that is any different than what the religious have been doing for 1000s of years.

@blahblahreadabook Dawkins, Hitchens, et al are not asking people to believe everything they say, donate 10% of their gross income, and plead with invisible deities to avoid unimaginable torment. They are asking people to think about what they believe and why. I think this is sufficiently different to religions.

@askegg I think you misunderstood me... I was trying to say that religions have been spreading their message in a often violent/deadly way for 1000s of years, and if Dawkins & Hitchens (both who I support & enjoy) go on shows to talk about their beliefs then how can religion say this is inapporpriate or extreme when they have been doing it for a very long time, sorry if it didnt come across that way.

People all around the world are looking for solutions to the ever-increasing problems but they are failing. Communism, Socialism and Marxism etc. have failed and capitalism is crumbling in front of our own eyes. The reason behind this is firstly, humans are limited in the scope of intellect, thus they are unable to fully comprehend an issue from all aspects. Secondly they are given to lust and greed which affects their judgement when dealing with a problem. Islam is the solution.

An atheist promoting his book on the Daily Show? How come you never see a Christian promoting his book on that show?

And how come there's a "Skeptic" section of the bookstore, but not a "Religious/Spirituality" section?
