  • @1795DARKNESS If I hear one more bloody person trying to use overtaking boat as a rule they will get hurt...

the rule that you are thinking of is rule 11: When boats are on the same tack and overlapped, a windward boat shall keep clear of a leeward boat

as soon as any boat can get their nose to leeward of another boat they have rights, EVEN, let me make this clear, EVEN IF THEY ARE OVERTAKING.

  • @1795DARKNESS the boat had pretty much lost control as i think they were to shy for the set in a fresh breeze.. yes the other boat should've tried to avoid it but it was all to late

  • Just a small question to you sailors out there :)

Am I right in saying that the boat being filmed has right of way as the boat hitting them was technically overtaking. Hence the rule "overtaking boat gives way"?

  • This is the October photo from Doctor Crash!

  • This look really hard. I feel pity for the guys on board. :O

  • Naaaasty... The helm of the white kite boat gets slapped by the tack of the red kite as they blow the tackline :'( looks painful.

  • Great vid and great recovery.

  • oo..ooo...oooo. oooOOOOOOOOOOOoo ouch that must have left a mark...

  • @MrSAILINGROCKS I do apologise for showing a lack of respect on youtube, that great bastion of wit and charm. Great video tho, my comment was sarcastic.

  • @hamsterminator would u be out there in 25 plus knots on a 32 foot boat that acts like a small boat. i doubt that so you should not be calling them noobs for racing in hard condtions.
