These are my pets, including my hermit crabs.
Billy and Baby have since died. It was horrible, but they were unfortunately week to begin with. The second crab in the video, Ricky, is still alive and doing well.

thats not a zoo i have a 1 gerbil 1 hamster 2 herrmit crabs 3 horses 4 dogs so i think thats a zoo combared tothat

@ItsOmgAlex all you have to do is smell the tank. wash your hands and pick him up.. if he is hanging real loose and falls out.. hes dead. sorry :(

I think my hermit crab died. He was hanging out of it's shell and I tried to pick him up but he was limp and just as I picked up the shell I realized that he possibly molted. It's scarry my shell isn't hollow and I don't see his guts but of course i'm worried because I have two so I put my molted/dead hermie in anothor isolation cage. Soooooo scared and nice vid lol

Ok, I would just not touch him anymore. If he starts to stink then you know that he is probably dead. If not, then just let him do his thing. It is better to let him be and not hurt him. I've made manyyy mistakes with molting crabs. Don't do the same things I've done. It's not worth it.

dude no wonder they died you put it on the carpet. Carpets have dustmites in them and the dustmites kill them almost instantly

Is it okay to mix salt and water then put the hermit crab in?

A little bit of aquarium salt, but baths aren't necessary and can stress your crabs. If you provide water dishes, baths shouldn't be necessary.
