@secandar So, we should continue endlessly fighting in Afganistan? Why not just increase our defenses, defense would not be a problem if we didn't have our military so stretched out over the world.

I agree, we should of saved ourself millions of dollars and just flew over to Mecca and dropped a bomb on it killing at least 3ooo other innocent people and then call it justice. Then after we blow up the holy site, then we can build a church next to the holy site and put those millions into rebuilding the towers.

@Siddiquii83 Then so be it. I can say this, b/c I've been there. Those people are ape shit kamikaze crazy. They'll lace their own children up with blast vests that are as or more powerful than a rocket barrage from a AH-64 . It's simple logistics. Kill them before they kill you. You just have to be smart enough to know which way is up. If you'd like one of these fuckers to walk into your child's school, your parents work place, or your own backyard than just go live there.

Whether the Taliban are local or not, they share the same views as Al-Qaeda, and therefore won't cease to cooperate with them. Experience proved this, so let's not make the same mistake again.
More importantly, Taliban are funded and controlled by Pakistan to ensure its influence in Afghanistan, so it can continue training and supporting these extremists.
Stronger Taliban = Stronger Al-Qaeda
Stronger Al-Qaeda = Attacks on Western cities.
The choice is to you... Another 9/11, 7/7, Madrid?
