There's a difference between owning your sexuality and being sexualized-- a fact that girls are faced with everyday. Watch this video for examples of the sexualization of girls in the media, ranging from TV to magazines to music to advertising and yes, even to cartoons and toys.

This is rubbish, alot of these studies that they are quoting are flawed, how can you possibly prove that the more hours a boy watches TV the more sexist his views become.

We are not all passive audience members capable of being brainwashed by the media, we have our own minds, peoples views and beliefs and sexist attitudes stem from many other factors in their socialisation, not just the media. Groups like these need to stop making out that everyone is a victim!

Notice how it's always the unattractive women complaining that the pretty girls are getting too much male attention? It's just sour grapes and jealousy.

This is just concentrating on a few figures in the media and while media is entertaining.We need to learn to think for ourselves .This is the negative side of pop culture because it kills that creativity and free thinking . I dont think there is any great conspiracy people to need to take responsibility for their actions or lack there of.I personally don't even fuck with the media anymore i unhooked my cable and t.v i read and sometimes watch movies online but i mostly just read.

Girls are so weak... They're living a great life with great opportunities but what do they do? They make their own problems... You can't blame the media... Don't fucking blame the media! It's like blaming a company that makes razors when a girl cutts herself. They have to face the fact that life isn't just glory.
