Tractor recovering Nissan Terrano after two tides under water

After getting stuck in the mud off Binsted beach Ryde Isle of Wight it spent 24Hrs in the Solent totally covered by the tide twice. Needed to be moved as it was a hazard to other water users parked in the small craft morrings 500m off shore.

Maybe a dumb question,but does the Terrano still run?

no after getting called too late the first tide was up to doors but it was still running but stuck fast in the mud. Then the water went over the front, the engine stopped,the windscreen wipers went across a couple of times and that was the last of it :)

The motor is hydro locked. Take the plugs out if it will turn over it will push the water out. Once water is out replace the plugs with new ones. Drain the oil. Put in new oil, if it starts like it idel for about five minutes. Drain the oil again. Put in new oil again. The oil comes out slimy (oil and water) repete this until the oil comes out clear. Other wise just claim it on your insurance. Its toast.

Better be careful jerking it like that. That tractor weighs a lot, your liable to jerk the axle off lol! :)

did u get the 10k$ fine? i had my car get swollowed by the ocean a few weeks ago we got it out before it went out completly. We changed the air filter drained the engine, changed spark plugs and it ran again :)
