106 Dead Chickens in a Shipping Box

Occasionally shipments of animals end in failure/death. In this case an entire box of baby male chickens (cocks) died in shipment from northern California to Colorado. This is no reflection on the U.S. Postal Service as it happens to other shippers as well. Also, many Postal employees have been known to take special care of animals in their charge by placing them in the shade, adding water to their boxes, etc. In this case it turns out the shipper had some problems as most of the chickens the sent out that week died around various parts of the country...

The way we treat all animals, in general, is very cruel. Ten BILLION animals are killed in America each year to feed people. Millions of fish and cows are killed each year to feed our pets. And our pets, of course (mostly cats), kill over a million wild animals each and every day. We have no respect for living things.
