Whinny For Me's Finely Dun, a/k/a Trooper

This is our mini colt, Trooper, who was born on 04/29/09 a little premature (310 days gestation). Due to a difficult labor and prolapse / attempted prolapse, his dam was not able to "meet" him until 4-5 hours post foaling (our vet was working to save her). This interrupted the bonding experience and as a result, his dam has mildly rejected him. She will allow him to nurse only if held and made to stand still.

Trooper though has been given a positive prognosis by our vet, a plasma transfusion for a big "boost" of added health, and his crooked leg is not something to be concerned about. The vets have assured us he will grow out of this rapidly and we already see improvement just 12 hours post-video. Trooper has an outstanding disposition and is strong on the inside if not yet on the outside.

Trooper's sure us our wonderful grey-grullo stallion, Erica's Gone and DunIT. DunIT is an AMHR National Top 10 halter horse (from a huge class of some of the best horses in the breed) and an AMHA National Honor Roll horse for halter. He has earned multiple halter championships with very limited showing. He has a royal pedigree boasting the names of Ima Boones Little Buckeroo Too ("BTU"), Yellow Diamond Little Feather, and Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King. His dam is a National Champion and his sire has produced MANY National Champions and Halter Hall of Fame offspring. In addition to DunIT's outstanding conformation and beauty, he has incredible movement. DunIT passes so many good qualities onto his offspring, both for physical beauty and movement but also outstanding minds.
