An excellent clip of the CURE during the PORNOGRAPHY era!!! Check out SIMON multi-tasking with the pedals! And Robert......damn, what a great band! One of my favourite clips from the 1982 PORNOGRAPHY tour!!!

  • thank you robert smith. your music is yet again helping me get through a dark time

  • @BirsaGomorraBeach Disintegration a failed attempt??? Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy these musically oriented discussions but that statement is amazingly misguided. Disintegration represents an amazing departure from their "cute and cuddly" sound which their main fanbase took for granted. The album represented such a dark turn, their label originally refused to release it as they felt the gloomy sound would kill the band. In my eyes, it's a masterpiece.

  • @grinderman77 Well, in my opinion Disintegration was indeed an attempt to return to the sound and atmosphere of Pornography. A failed attempt, since it lacks the raw, sharp edge of tracks like this one.

  • Who knew "Pornography" could be so dark and moody.....:D

  • Preacherz of the Savage Truth are releasing an electro rock cover of "Cold" on dec. 21th, you should check for this french duet, they're just amazing!

  • This is an absolutely cracking version.

  • A prelude of what lied ahead for The Cure. The early stages before the magic of Disintegration came to life.

  • this is why the early 80's was such a magical period in music and my favorite. nothing over the top or extravagant..theres no need. all the emotion is right there in the vocals, lyrics and ambience of the music.

anyone who is passionate about this album or kind of music needs to check out the Cocteau Twins early work if you havent already :) particularly their debut 'Garlands'.

  • I go through periods where I am mostly always depressed and delusional and I like to play this album through because somehow it soothes me to know someone else is feeling as hopeless as I am.

  • @Greenfuzz138 It's a Moog Taurus synth pedal.
