GM can go to hell, they've been fleecing the American people for decades and deserve to go under.

this car will KILL GM. hybrids on the road today have proven themselves to not only to be affordable but somewhat reliable and functional in real world conditions. this car is still in the process of coming to life and it has a huge price tag already. they only have a year left and this car hasn't proven anything to appeal to the public on reliability, affordability, or overall function. it's all hype and word of mouth.

still a science project too late coming in early 2011 if ever
with batteries made in south Korea
too expensive at $45K even at $30K still expensive
competing with proven technologies from its competitor that had been making hybrids for over a decade and cost less than half the price.

Tell them to put the new nanogate ultra capacitors in this car and there would be no problem with battery technology I promise you

The volt is a concept car that does not work.
The Tesla Roadstar is defintely the one to watch.
That report makes me want to throw up. I generally do not watch TV anymore due to the patronizing ignorance of commercial television. They talk alot and say absolutely nothing , more like an ad for GM

Lets all stop whining and get behind this American company!

Yep. Marketing failure was their fault. They made the commercials look like a post-nuclear holocaust. Then when people wanted to buy it, instead of sales-pitching they "explained limitations." HAHAHA That is the dumbest thing I ever heard. There is documented evidence that the company did everything they could to discourage the car. I hope this car makes it, but if it comes too late it is their fault.

Too little too late! They should have continued with the EV1, then they would have been a market leader. Instead they and Toyota have been beaten to it by Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi.
they need to deliver this now if they want to survive. another company may beat them to market. or toyota will come up with one a year later and be cheaper.

I agree 100%. They really need to starting getting these on the market yesterday. That, and I'm can't wait to try one out myself.
