Kimi O Nosete on Ocarina

One of my favorite songs of Joe Hisaishi's.

It is the ending theme of "Laputa: Castle in the Sky"
Enjoy!

Lyrics:

The reason the horizon shines
is that somewhere it's hiding you.
The reason I long for the many lights
is that you are there in one of them.
So, I set out, with a slice of bread,
a knife, a lamp, stuffed in a bag.

Father left me his burning desire.
Mother gave me her eyes.

The earth turns, hiding you.
Shining eyes, twinkling lights.
The earth turns, carrying you,
carrying us both who'll surely meet...

Father left me his burning desire.
Mother gave me her eyes.

The earth turns, hiding you.
Shining eyes, twinkling lights.
The earth turns, carrying you,
carrying us both who'll surely meet.

  • Hey, do you have the notes to this?

  • @MrDaratum No, but I have the MIDI

  • where did u get the backtrack? i cant find anywhere! o_o

    pls? XD

  • If you search for "Kimi O Nosete MIDI" you should come up with some MIDIs you can download. Once you save it to your computer you can play against it while recording. The top hit I got using the above search result is the same MIDI I used.

  • hey.. is this possible ón a 12h? :-/

i seem to have a hard time making it fit with my oc, but im also learning by ear -_-'

u know if its even possible?

  • You should be able to play it on a Soprano F, 12 hole. Just tired it on mine and it all fit..

  • Very impressive!

Lacks a bit of reverb but that's about the only flaw! Well done! :)
