how is it dangerous to just read the bible? with books the most important thing is to read and develop your own interpretation before you listen to others. as an english lit student and youd never read a book chapter by chapter page by page with a study guide telling you what the books about and its messages and morals before youve had time to reflect on it yourself. its brainwashing. you pick anyliterature and its possible to make it mean pretty much whatever you want through metaphors etc

your own bible says that God established an organization of His people. Gods name in your own bible says its YHWH. In aramaic Yayvey, in english Jehovah. J E h O v A h , eoa was added to be able to pronounce the name . YHWH he said his name is and Jesus He said his son's name is. READ ALL THE BIBLE. not random pages. Its dangerouse not to study the Bible . so dont just read randomly.. STUDY from the begening till the end. PLEASE for God's love and sake.

Most were real sure and when 1975 came and went they said we shouldn't be so sure on the date but the end is near. It would be wrong to second guess or question the organization so as far I remember everyone just excepted it.

Funny how 'the end of the world' has evolved over the last couple of centuries.
Rob? can you remember how the people 'on the inside' were pre-74? I gather that they had a 'we know something you don't know' attitude towards outsiders, and that people inside would laugh at any 'worldly' printed date 198-something as though it was never going to happen.
I also get the impression in the late 60's, 1975 had marked a 'switch-over-point' where the topic of conversation became very different.
