In Blind Spot (2008), Mexican filmmaker Adolfo Doring highlights the link between the energy we consume, the current state of our economy, and the devastating effect the both have had on our environment in a film that posits whichever path we choose to walk, we'll be facing some seriously profound changes.
This is a fragment of the interview with Dr. Jason Bradford, who currently leads the farmland management program for Farmland LP, including sustainability planning and organic certification and management.
Prior to joining Farmland LP, Jason founded and managed Brookside Farm, a successful certified organic farm in Willits, CA utilizing innovative low-energy farming techniques; hosted a radio program called "The Reality Report"; and served on the Boards of Directors for the Renewable Energy Development Institute (REDI) and Willits Economic LocaLization (WELL).

What Bradford is saying is true. People look at me like I'm nuts for presenting facts they find offensive and their response is to immediately reject these facts because they don't like them and they can't fathom we ARE going to use up finite resources and be forced to change, if we are even able to survive the oil/water/climate crash.
Technology created the mess we're in yet so many believe it will be technology that will solve these same problems. They don't see we're nearly out of time.
