Bio:
The Dyadics are a hard rock duo from London, Ontario, comprised of guitarist/vocalist Kevin Kennedy, and bassist/drummer Matt Weston. In the years since their formation in 2009, the band's reputation in the Southern Ontario music scene has been marked by advanced musicianship, energetic live shows, and a knack for infectious song-writing. Having broken onto the scene with their thrilling 2010 self-titled debut album, the band now has fans eagerly awaiting their follow up release, the Dead and Gone EP.

Kevin Kennedy, known also as a member of Neverending White Lights, and The Marrieds, fulfills frontman duties in the band with his impressive vocal range, intense and innovative skill as a guitarist, and the straight-ahead appeal of his lyrics. Matt Weston single-handedly performs the duties of a rhythm section, as he is able to play drum-kit with one hand, and bass parts on a Roland Octapad with the other. Weston's simultaneous bass and drum playing has become a definitive characteristic of the band as fans are impressed by his ambidextrous ability and struggle to believe that the big and dirty bass lines and intricate drum rhythms are coming from the same person. Weston is also an acclaimed record producer at Swamp Songs studios, whose discography includes work by Josh Geddis, Amity Beach, and Duo Percussion.

The band's efforts to push the boundaries of hard rock while having a thorough understanding of pop melody and arrangement resulted in the appealing uniqueness of their debut album. Weston's sharp skill as a producer augmented Kennedy's infectious melodies, massive guitar riffs, and the overall hard-edged quality of the band.

On their new Dead and Gone EP, The Dyadics take two steps forward, one step back, and three jumps all over the map. They left off with an 11-song debut rock and roll masterpiece that infected listeners with heavy dance drums, rumbling riff-rock guitar, more melodies than Mozart, and booming bass. Rather than followup with another album, The Dyadics took a left turn and decided to have some fun and make this EP an extension of their intense live show.

The opening number and title track is Dead and Gone. It's unlike anything you've heard before. The song is intensely imaginary and Kevin Kennedy's masterful guitar work might just make the perfect soundtrack to a cage fight between gorillas equipped with swords and lasers and a David Bowie Ziggy Stardust lookalike. There's also an accompanying performance video unlike anything we've seen before. Friend of the band Gary Kuiper was the mastermind behind it.
