There are 2 main ways to obtain one of these trucks. The first option is to build it yourself and the other way is to purchase a prebuilt truck, which may or may not be used depending on who had the truck previously.

I started with the stock Tamiya Clod Buster kit and then upgraded my trucks with aftermarket chassis kits, electronics, etc. I think Tamiya offers the gear boxes separately, which is essentially all you'll need from the stock kit.

...Or, sometimes prebuit trucks show up on ebay.

This isn't my truck, so I'm not sure exactly where he got it, but he did make the body himself though.

Yup, it's a modified Tamiya Clod Buster with a Monster Patrol body that Joe custom whipped up himself.
