http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/reverse-osmosis-filters-and-syst... In today's episode we are going to go over when to replace filters in your reverse osmosis or reverse osmosis deionization system RO/DI. Since long term success with our saltwater aquariums is heavily dependent on using only the highest quality water for top of and water changes it is really important that we change out all of the carbon blocks, sediment filters, deionization cartridges and the RO membrane on time. We will discuss how to know when to change these filters , how to pack refillable DI resin cartridges and why some RO filters are better than others. Your reef tank will appreciate the effort : )

  • I'm sure you most likely haven't been asked but is this water good for human consumption ?

  • @beckyjodavenport all the components and filters are originally designed for drinking water first so yes : )

  • Great vid. Hey I got my order of cartridges and put a note asking to send me the correct microns of carbon block and the sediment. I received 1 micron for both. Is this correct? My unit has 1 carbon 1 sediment and the membrane then the DI.

  • @krug1313 I am not sure about the details of your order or system. This type of question is best asked via email to our customer service or a quick phone call : )

  • Great info as always, is there any benefit to having another carbon after the di? I have a 6 stage water general unit (ro6100+di) and thats how it is plumbed. Or is my kent hi-s (dual membrane) 5 stage better? Any advice helps, Thanks!

  • This again is very good information.

I really liked the end of the video explaining how to properly pack the DI canister.
