Patrick Barrett of Lucky Duck Press inherited his antique foot-powered letterpress from the family business. His great-grandfather started The Sterling Press back in 1901, first printing paper goods and then moving on to cloth tapes. Patrick grew up watching his dad work the manual presses but didn't express interest until many years later, after studying theater in college.

  • Guys come on, seananners probably thought this was really interesting, dont ruin it for him and make him think he cant like things on youtube anymore!!

  • What a soothing sound!

  • @TheLeadPlatypus It's disappointing to see people like yourself who are so incredibly rude and unappreciative making these comments to people who work hard and take pride in their work. Simply because you can print these things from a printer at home, it's astonishing how little you care to know how it was originally done and when it took true artisans to make these things - but I suppose the only artisans you know of exist in Azeroth.

  • lol i'm starting to think I'm one of the only people who didn't watch this vid due to seananners.... I'm not even sure who that is.... but yay for looking up someone new!

  • That looks so meditative. And oh how I love the sound of ink on a roller <3
