  • where can i get the gardena nozzle ? asap

  • @khairelfarish They should be available in the garden section of your local hardware store.

  • I am trying to build a metal launcher that can handle higher pressures. I have been having difficulty finding an appropriate metal female quick connect. For one, most of them have this "soft cushion" rubber around them. I recently found all metal one, only to find that it would not hold my plastic Gardena nozzle. Have you run into the problem of having a disconnect between QC and nozzle? How did you solve it? Someone suggested making sure that both parts are from the same manufacturer. Thots?

  • @carnahant Haven't come across this issue before with metal ones. Which manufacturer makes your quick connector? We had an issue with plastic ones sometimes not connecting, or popping out under pressure which was solved as shown in this two part video, but I haven't had the problem with the brass ones.

  • George ... it was a "no name"brand. What brand and model of plastic male QC and metal female QC do you use? I am in the process of corresponding with Gardena, Nelson, Orbit, and Gilmour to find out if they support the metal to plastic mating. One has already come back and said "no" I am waiting on the others.

OBTW, I noticed on Gardena's online catalog, it appears that they no longer make a metal QCs.

  • @MrTomcarnahan We use the brass quick connectors made by Pope and Neta here in Australia. They both make brass quick connectors in both sizes. They seem to fit the plastic Gardena nozzles well.

  • Thanks for the names of the manufacturers. Who knows, I may have to order some from Australia ... I have inquired with 5 manufacturers here in the States and one in the UK. Most have said the plastic and brass won't work, but then said they would go back and ask their engineers. I am waiting for a reply. I have already gotten burned by ordering some via the web and when they arrived, found they were not compatible.
