@stanieman I think it's good to have at least eaten something before your workout so you will have enough energy to give it your best, preferably something lite. As far as eating after, I usually eat my meals after, but really try to avoid eating right before bedtime (within 4 hours before). If I'm still moving around or at least not laying down, my metabolism is still moving faster than it would if I was in bed which should help my food digest better.
