Yes, I am. However, there are certain sections where I use my fingers, though 90% of the cover was played with a pick.

Siempre toco con la guitarra afinada 1/2 tono más abajo (me resulta más suave, con más cuerpo y para cantar también me va mejor) y para no subir de tono al hacer una versión, prefiero bajar de tono la pista de acompañamiento.

This solo is not fast, but it's not easy to learn since Knopfler has a great sense of rhythm, feeling and an amazing musical taste.

If you try to do it without a plectrum (using your fingers like MK, it's going to be even more difficult -I couldn't do it without a plectrum-). It's very difficult to tell you how difficult it is, but... IMO it's much more difficult than "faster" shredders (guitar heroes) that might seem more complicated at first. I recommend you analize Knopfler... HE'S GREAT!!!!

dude, u are a great guitar player. i'm playing the guitar for 4 years now, and i can play the first part of the solo, which is not that difficult. but starting from 0:48 (the second solo) i really have trouble how to play it. it looks really fast. But you have a great sense of rythm too, very nice :) i wish you good luck and fun playing guitar (:
