  • As much as i am Roman catholic, this reportage is leaning on extreme apologetics on the nature of celibacy in early church. priests were allowed to marry, but would have to abstain from sexual intercourse with their spouse at least 48 hours before celebrating the Mass. The Bishophood in this regard had to be lived Chastly (whether some bishops strayed and had sex once in a while is unquestionable). Hence the Eastern andOrthodox tradition of only appointing Monks ( chaste) to the Episcopate.

  • Shame on you! There is no scriptural, theological, or historical evidence that priests were celibate in the first thousand years of Christianity. For over a thousand years after Christ, priests, popes, and bishops married and sired children as evidenced by the fact that many priests, bishops, and popes were sons of priests, bishops and popes. See wikipedia article on sexually active popes, for example.

  • @4everpraisethelord Thank you so much for the positive comments. I'm generally cyberbullied by people so the kind words are most welcome! Again, thank you so very much!

  • @pl1778 me too we just got lucky!

  • @pl1778 absolutely brother1

  • @pl1778 This is the reason why I'm glad I'm an Orthodox Christian. I can simply ignore Catholics, and live my life in peace!

  • This is a little severe, calling someone Satan is a bit unfair, even if they are totally delusional.

  • For anyone who isn't Catholic the Pope is going to Hell, unless the Father is merciful to him of course, since HE controls everything, not Rome.

  • Actually this isn't a Catholic thread, nor is it even a thread. This is a private comment board on YOUTUBE, which is NOT a religious site by any means. I just love how Catholics always seem to manage taking things and turning them into their own instruments.

  • @superiorgreen YOU ARE RIGHT! ndw444 doesn't know a thing IT is talking about.
