I've been mortared a couple of times, nearly hit by an IED and had an enemy's dot my face with a laser at night on post, but i've never been in a firefight, and to be honest,even though I had always wanted to experience a firefight, I'm pretty fuckin grateful that I didn't have to.

5-10 minute firefights? Man, the Taliban and Quaeda is so overrated with their rusty weapons from cold war. In Turkey-Iraq border firefights last for 30 minutes to 3 hours time to time. If you check out the difference in weapon quality between Pkk and anti-american terrorists' confiscated equipment you will understand. RPG-7s and Kalashnikovs in perfect condition, no dirt no rust. Yet the Turkish government rewards their veterans with jail under claim of being terrorists plotting to make coup.

@sgtgreenbud humans by their very nature are animals. We were known to kill each other when it all started up until now. Our killing switch has been worn out as we became "civilized"<--right.... Life is an experience seek what you want to experience. Horrors to others and yourself maybe. It was an honor for me to pit myself against other warriors from other countries. It's once in a life time opportunity. I have zero regrets about everything I've seen and done.

@Ghostliermon you don't get to choose your own weapon thats what I know, I want to be a marine also once I'm out of high school but at least I at least TRY to know what I will be dealing with. If you think that once your in you will get to "create a class" or something, well your not, you WILL get an m16a2 or m16a4 service rifle with a couple mags and m9. btw you might want to quit playing call of duty and other games now before its too late.
