Track from our DEMO-tape of 1991: 'OUTSKIRTS' written by James McMurtry.

BOOTLEG still plays it to this very day, ever since the band started in the summer of 1989.

The picture shows the BOOTLEG line-up of that time, with co-founding guitarist Gerrit van Berkum having just left to join The Seatbelts (a bluesband fromm Deventer. This move got me in touch with my now long-time compadre and harmonica wizzard Stef Eijkelenkamp, since he played in the Seatbelts as a founding member).

Gerrit's replacement Eric is on the far right in the picture that was taken in our rehearsal attic in downtown Zwolle, Holland. Founding members from the left: drummer Marcel Vermaning, me sitting and bassplayer Gerald Batterink.

I'm the only surviving founding member in the current setting of BOOTLEG with Bart Faber on drums (since 2001), Kees van Hardeveld on bass (also since 2001) and my oldest son Tom Dokter on leadguitar (since 2009).

Hope you all like it. Still sounds very fresh to me.
