If a tree falls in a forest and no one's around...does it make a sound? Does it matter if you know it's fallen?

I think Deaf culture is perfectly defensible given how limiting oralist education is. It's easy for us to learn sign language. It's near impossible for a born-deaf person to learn to lip read - some can, but mostly only deafened people lip-read or lip-speak with any facility.
I'm not Deaf, but I've learned two sign languages, and have a solid appreciation for Deaf poetry (based on hand-shape, meaning & rhythm) and Deaf culture.
Plastic surgery tends to fix your expression - you can smile, but you may lose the ability to frown, scowl, look surprised (or unsurprised...) - and basically end up like her barbies. Seemingly cheerful, but not very communicative.
Its a question of existance. It doesn't have to be if you heard it or not. If you weren't around to even see it would it happen? LIke this statement "If we were to have a nuclear holocaust and no one is there to be aware of the universe, the univese doesn't exist. Same goes with the tree, no one was there to hear or listen to it. Therefore it failed to exist to fall or make a sound.
The universe would exist regardless of us. To think that it would cease to exist without us is to grossly overestimate the importance of humans. The universe is grander than us.
That is the kind of thinking that got humans to be plagued by the delusion that god exists and that it created the universe just for us.
Ok.... There was a lady who was walking in the forest with her dog and was killed. If u r reading this, then u will find a dead bloody body hanging in ur closet. U will be haunted and killed by her. to stop it posti this to 6 other videos in 30 GOOD LUCK

I'm fairly sure Mozart's hearing was relatively good until his relatively early death...
