I'll say this....I have a concealed permit....I go to school....NO ONE knows I'm armed....if someone starts shooting, I will brandish my weapon and take care of the violence...if I break a "School Policy" by having the gun, then so be it....if I save my life or someone elses, it's worth it.

Another thing to consider- You need a permit to conceal carry in most states, and that typically requires you to be over 21, and obtain some sort of training. Students, faculty and staff with carry permits should be allowed to carry on campus, JUST LIKE THEY DO EVERY DAY OFF CAMPUS.

If your 21, buy a gun within the law and have a concealed handgun permit you should be able to carry it on a college campus and defend yourself.

You are forgetting a few main points 1.)People kill people, guns do not just go off by themselves, there must be a hand that holds and aims a gun and a finger to pull the damn trigger 2.)guns are good for hunting, target shooting and self defense.

I was in college when the VT shooting happened. I was 22yrs old and had/have a CCL. After the VT shooting, I chose to start carrying my 9mm to class with me everyday. I would be damned if some LUNATIC came into my class and started shooting "SITTING DUCKS". Thankfully I never had to use my gun, but, if I had, some parents would be greatful I saved their childs life.

I don't understand your logic. If you might be wrong and don't like people arguing with you because THEY might be wrong, then don't argue, cause you're being a hypocrite.

here is an idea on european gun control... So european government has evolved from monarchies and totalitarian regimes with. The people of europe have been ruled over by kings/queens/lords/vatican for what 2000 years? look back into the days before enlightenment and revolution. Subjects werent aloud to have weapons to rise up with. They have had weapons bans on one form or another for 2000 years they are used to being under the heel of the elite. why would we want to emulate that here?

That's it! Morons (Liberal and Conservative) can't grasp that CRIMINALS DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT LEGALITY! AT least they suck at aiming. Gun control makes their lot easier because the populace can't defend themselves properly. Most people won't shoot, even if they are armed. For example, in World War 2, in the US Army, only about 20 or so percent of soldier got any meaningful number of kill; only a few people will kill anyway, but armed citizens are a force for anti-crime.
