I believe we were using a light action crowder rod. The weather was nice enough for use to venture out looking for bull redfish. All we had was the inshore tackle, but it makes for an exciting battle.

When using the swim bait hooks, it's best to give a momentary pause while the redfish inhales the bait, take up the slack line, and with a sweeping motion set the hook firmly. This should take about one second when done correctly, and will provide a solid hook set.
