  • It doesn't have to be! Birth is SUPPOSED to be gentle! It's just that our society has completely butchered normal birth...we think A Baby Story and Maternity Ward is "normal"...

  • Aww that baby at 1:00 is so cute... kinda looks like it's wearing make up tho. I hope not!

  • I wish to see a more united approach to the movement against unnatural and interventional childbirth. Everyone who's passionate about it, united under one common cause (putting a name to the movement) would make the voice louder and stronger. Keep it up Gentle Birth. I'm waiting for the day that America wakes up and supports homebirths, not scheduling C-sections!

  • @gekkebex yeah i does but i think it is that he or she licked his or hers lips cause i think babies have a habit of doing that

  • @Stebraul That would be 10 centimeters, big difference.

  • Not all birth is gentle, it's true. But sometimes expectant families don't realize all the things they can do to mitigate the tough parts of birth and improve the possibility that birth will be gentle, joyful, and sometimes even orgasmic. Pregnant women and expectant dads know their options, consider themselves healthcare consumers, and stand up for the right to control what they can, birth can be something completely different than the medical event we are accustomed to seeing in America.

  • Sweet!

  • Love these photos!

  • @Stebraul It CAN be, for sure! My son's head was 14.5", and I'm anticipating the baby I'm currently pregnant with will have a similar size of head. I'm also planning to have a gentle, calm birth that minimizes the amount of pain for BOTH of us. Birth does not HAVE to be traumatic!

  • @lifescholar so what your saying is that sticking an 10 inch ball (head) through a vagina is gentle?
