there's a cheap DIY way to produce a havana brown. just take any green eyed black cat, feed it poorly and expose it to strong sunlight regularily. I guarantee the coat will turn brown. there's a risk the animal dies in the process however :)

Mine is a rescue, and although she is shy, the breed trait wins out. She is so affectionate and playful. She has the same toy as the cats in this video, her white chipmunk. At 10 years old, she has all her teeth and acts like a kitten. I was warned by the vet that her teeth needed looked after. But I'm not sure she is purebred. Maybe an accident. She has these features, the nose, the ears, the eyes, etc. Her tail is less pointy, and she looks less oriental. Her fur looks black unless in sunlight

I had one when I was 4 years old. We bonded very well, I remember when we used to take our dog for a walk he would tag along. He was unlike any other cat I've seen. We used to interact alot. I've never been able to get that close to another cat. Sad thing is when we moved to Cape Town he was stolen :( I still miss him alot, lol. I really want another, highly recommended.

I love the look of those HB cats. Im really thinking about getting one, but im wondering whether he would get on with my Cream point siamese, Ralph. I really think he would like a friend to play with. Does anyone know if they would get on?
They are the best cats ever! So loving and smart. They are so beautiful he sleeps with me every night and can get annoying! yeah I was woundering that too my cat has all his front teeth missing and only his k-9 teeth left! poor baby he is loosing his teeth

I am on my 2d HB. Love them. The breed is very interactive. Great breeder (also vet) in Mississippi. Actually visited cattery - it was amazingly integrated in her home. You won't see this breed in a pet store. You are interviewed before you are allowed to own one. Never support a breeder that does not allow you to visit their site. I agree adoption is best but I can not resist this breed!!
