  • Any update on the rest of the install? I'm curious to see how else you guys have integrated the iPad and how you're getting the rearview camera to work. I also have a rearview and headrest monitors and trying to figure that out. They make a breakout connector cable that allows you to solder to the different pins. For now, I'm thinking about using it to get video out.

No updates as of yet. The car has been on standby as we have gotten really busy in the shop thanks to the weather finally cooperating. We are still waiting on our 16g 3g unit and camera interface as they have been on backorder with our APPLE contact. I assure you we will post another video as soon as we get everything up and running. We just want to make sure we do it right and not rush it.

  • no we have not installed an iPad in a Camaro. The Smart Car is the only one we have done so far. If you would like to have your camaro done please let us know.

  • We tune the vehicle with our lap top outside the car via USB into the bit one. Trust us, with the size of the car the eye piece is easy to use. The bit one is not tuned with eye piece. It is strictly a volume control

  • In response to the question about how it mounts. We basically mimmicked how an aftermarket dock would work. It has a little nub we built into the trim ring that holds it into place. The other thing that helps is the thickness of the seude that we wrapped the panel in.

  • Are you guys doing an audio out option from the iPad to headrest/drop down monitors?

  • @torres1708

No we are not as this vehicle doesn't have any rear monitors. we are going to attempt to use the camera input adapter for a rear view camera.
