@RideMyYoshi247 (Pretty much) the only reasoning for having a 4 bar linkage is so that the orientation of the manipulator does not change relative to the field/robot. In his case, it is not needed because there is sort of a wrist joint. That being said, the arm should have been in the center of the frame but this video was made four years ago.
Try putting the articulation in the middle to back of the drive system, also you might want to have a 4 bar linkage instead of your arm on the robot right now.
