I've always loved this song, and always had a crush on the coolest bassist ever - Paul Simonon - and since there never was a proper video for it, I made one myself. So here you go..watch and enjoy! Any comment is welcome, thanks=)

  • the clash were not punk, they just were and will be the kings of street rock N roll

  • I like the clash

  • @CatchHellsBlues How so? Pistols were a band cherry picked by McLaren and though their whole image was "fuck it all", that was exactly the purpose, unleash the shocking to get attention as Malcolm intended... But as far as punk attitude goes, The Clash is miles ahead and way superior both musically and politicaly.

Its not just posing, its about not being attained by pointless rules.

  • @smarmie I'm not saying the clash are bad they are really good but if you are goind to compare them consider them like aerosmith sex pistols are the hendrix experience and the ramones are the rolling stones

  • @CatchHellsBlues says the guy who just said Sex Pistols are "pure dirty punkers" all the while forgeting The Sex Pistols were designed by Malcolm McLaren...

If The Clash is commercial then what does it make The Sex Pistols?

  • @arcticmonkeyss2 agree the clash are just a commercial punk

  • @lf99able so not true sex pistols are real pure dirty punkers this is a bit melow

  • @ScooterAndOtis The Pistols deny influence from the Ramones to their core but the fact is that they were a band designed by Malcolm McLaren, who had just returned from NY where he had witnessed The Ramones and worked with the NY Dolls. Coincidence? hardly...

Be as it may, The Pistols were important in the punk boom in London since they had a smart producer behind them and the first big "punk" band there. But only The Clash captured the real spirit and were not just style over substance, IMO

  • @lf99able the kings of punk are the RAMONES

  • @lcerider punk was a revival. they were sick of the music scene become to complex and overdone so they stripped it down to its roots. the pistols were sick of prog music and overindulgent music. the clash and the ramones had a similar mentalities. punk wasnt a "hey, fuck you!!" to the political situation, it was towards the music scene that wasnt satisfying the ones who started punk. thats why they started it. thats what punk is
