For our film lit class we were required to make a movie trailer for a movie we create. The goal of the movie was to portray the American Dream.
This trailor is about 6 girls and their struggles. Each girl's American dream is to be accepted by everyone. Each girl recieves a letter and is told to meet up in a room, where they are told they are all going to disney world. Will they all get along and this really be a trip of a lifetime or will this all be a major disaster?
Starring:
1. Ruth Melendez as a ghetto latino in school who has an abusive boyfriend (Denzel Scott).
2. Jodie Holt who secretly has cancer. She also dates a boy (Ryan Stinson) who reccently started dealing drugs to help pay for her medical problems.
3. Aurora Cano plays a the new girl to the school. She can't speak english because she reccently moved from Mexico. She befriends Ruth to understand english in class.
4. Shiana Moore plays the role of a mother and her boyfriend (Denzel Scott) is cheating on her with Ruth.
5. Keia Elam plays the quiet girl in the back of the classroom. Secretly she's in love with Denzel.
6. Caleigh Reff plays the mean girl in school. She has a bad home life and confides in her best friend Angel.
7. Denzel Scott plays many roles. He plays the baby daddy to Shiana, cheats on her with ruth whom he abuses, and also buys drugs from Ryan.
8. Ryan Stinson plays a drug dealer to pay for his girlfriend Jodie's chemotherapy bills.
9. Angel Morrison plays Caleigh's best friend and comforts her when she tells her that her parent's are getting divorced.
10. Amyia Moore plays Shiana and Denzel's daughter.
11. Jordan Wright plays the school teacher who delieves the news of the trip to the 6 girls.
