"Lux Aeterna" (Latin, Lux Æterna: "the eternal light") is a composition by Clint Mansell, the leitmotif of Requiem for a Dream, and the penultimate piece in the Requiem for a Dream score. The popularity of this piece led to its use in popular culture outside the film, mostly in film trailers. However, the trailer for Requiem for a Dream used not this theme but the song "Everloving" by Moby.

A version of the track was re-orchestrated with a choir and full orchestra for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer. The piece, renamed "Requiem for a Tower", was made exclusively for the trailer and was not featured in either Requiem for a Dream or the The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. It was arranged by Simone Benyacar, Dane Nielsen, and Veigar Margeirsson. Although never intended for release, after considerable demand by fans this piece was made available as part of the Requiem for a Tower album release from Corner Stone Cues.

A version of the song appears on the 2009 album Escala by Escala. A sample of the song is also included in Lil Jon's song "Throw it Up".
