Here is another improvisation on the SleepDrone. I put oscillator #1 thru an SWR Mini Mo' Bass pre-amp. Its a cool unit with a killer tube distortion, sub-wave generator, and a Bass Synth section that tracks the pitch with a sawtooth wave that is fed into an analog lowpass filter. In the back of the module is an input jack for an expression pedal to sweep the filter cutoff.

Like I did with my GR-300, I used my Roland MPU-101 midi-to-cv converter to write in a stepped pattern to modulate the filter. Osc #2 was fed into a TC Electronic G-Major, osc's #3&4 ring modulated each other and went into a mixer that utilized a TC Electronic FireworX, the Roland SDE-330 Space Delay and the SDX-330 Dimensional Expander.

Most everything goes thru a Mackie into a TC Electronic Finalizer which converts the analog signal to digital. The digital out of the Finalizer goes into an M-Audio firewire 410 and then into my computer.

Yes! Whether its turning knobs to tune manufactured metal strings to a specific note in order to "play notes" which are often amplified electronically enhanced thru vacumn tubes and paper speakers which are then altered by a variety of knobs which are turned in a myriad of ways to enhance the tone, and then placed thru mixing boards with hundreds of knobs which are constantly being "turned" to alter and augment the sound. Turning knobs -its a beautiful thing! Haha! peace
