Er... Sorry.. but are you referring to General Choi? WHo became president of Korea Taekwondo Association and founded ITF South korea in 1965 (before the wtf was formed) and who was also an Ambassador for South Korea in Malaysia, Vietnam and Taiwan before moving to canada in self imposed exile in 1970?

He was not a communist but he supported different ideals than the governing body of the WTF which is why he moved to the north after the war.

I love the twist kick... one of my favorite kicks for misdirection during sparring. Although mine isnt nearly as good as I would like.
